What is BioCentric Lighting™?

BioCentric Lighting™ (BCL) mimics natural daylight indoors. BCL environments include sensors and algorithm based recipes, light recipes, to adapt to different users, occupations and times of-day. The variation of the spectral composition in a light recipe promotes the natural circadian rhythm which increases efficiency and improves sleep.

Its like when the sun steps out of its eclipse, we get a full 100,000 lux of light. Indoors we are light deprived now and this is causing many health issues like: misaligned circadian rhythm, insomnia, depression, increasing ADHD symptoms, fatigue and decreased productivity.

BrainLit is making BioCentric Lighting™ for manufacturing plants to increase accuracy of production and reduce accidents and absenteeism. Proper auto-lit recipe changes the dynamics of working indoors.

This solution is available for hospitals and elderly care clinics to increase the speed of recovery of patients and improve the morale of the hard working doctors, nurses and staff.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2017 was awarded jointly to Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W. Young "for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm."

The press release further illustrates: "The clock regulates critical functions such as behavior, hormone levels, sleep, body temperature and metabolism. Our wellbeing is affected when there is a temporary mismatch between our external environment and this internal biological clock, for example when we travel across several time zones and experience “jet lag”. There are also indications that chronic misalignment between our lifestyle and the rhythm dictated by our inner timekeeper is associated with increased risk for various diseases."
